• Spreadsheets are difficult to organize and track.
Xlarent extracts data as each spreadsheet is loaded. This information is used to classify the file.
• Two Users may unknowingly copy and edit the same version of a spreadsheet.
An XLarent user is able to mark a spreadsheet as “checked out” while making modifications. This ensures that other users do not edit an incorrect
version by mistake.
• Users may be unsure which spreadsheet file is the “current” version.
Using XLarent, a user “checks in” a spreadsheet. The current version is apparent. (As an additional benefit, the system retains previous spreadsheet versions.)
• Work is often coordinated by sending around spreadsheets by email.
An XLarent user is able to view the current status of all spreadsheets. They can download the correct spreadsheet directly from the library.
• Creating a portfolio report from multiple spreadsheets is difficult if not impossible.
XLarent pulls information from each spreadsheet as it is loaded. This information can be used to produce a
portfolio-wide report.
